Council would strongly recommend education to go before restoration begins. Along with the other areas of Tiffin. Discussion: Sheriff Kunkel was present to discuss the proposed jail bond. He noted that the county has needed a new jail for approximately 25 years and that construction costs have increased significantly, nearly doubling. The proposed facility would be located on Melrose Avenue and include a 140-bed jail and Sheriff’s Office. The estimated tax impact would be $88 per $100,000 of taxable valuation, with a proposed 12-year bond term. Alec Skubal, 130 Railroad St, had strong support for Tom and his leadership. He also supports the idea of having a part-time training officer. He is in favor of the proposed job description changes, noting that the current requirements could limit the applicant pool.
