RESOLUTION NO. 2025- 011 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AUTOMATIC AND MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT FOR FIRE PROTECTION, RESCUE, AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES IN AND SURROUNDING JOHNSON COUNTY, IOWA, JANUARY 2025 WHEREAS, a 28E Agreement has been drafted for automatic and mutual aid for all fire, rescue and emergency medical service for all entities within Johnson County; and, WHEREAS, the agreement spells out all of the required and necessary means to respond and assist neighboring departments when requested or needed; and, WHEREAS, a copy of said agreement is attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, NOW BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Tiffin, Iowa that the Mayor is hereby authorized to sign and execute the Automatic and Mutual Aid Agreement for Fire Protection, Rescue, and Emergency Medical Services in and surrounding Johnson County, Iowa, January 2025. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Tiffin City Council that said Agreement is hereby approved as to form and content and is found to be in the best interest of theCity of Tiffin. On the 21st day of January, 2025, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Limkemann introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2025- 011,A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AUTOMATIC AND MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT FOR FIRE PROTECTION, RESCUE, AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES IN AND SURROUNDING JOHNSON COUNTY, IOWA, JANUARY 2025 and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Schnedler. Ayes: Havens, Orris, Olney, Schnedler, Limkemann. Nays: None. Absent: None. Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Kasparek declared that RESOLUTION NO. 011, 2025- A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AUTOMATIC AND MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT FOR FIRE PROTECTION, RESCUE, AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES IN AND SURROUNDING JOHNSON COUNTY, IOWA, JANUARY 2025 to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
