The grinder is critical for reducing solids and protecting downstream pumps and infrastructure from clogging and mechanical damage. Background The existing grinder, a Vogelsang XRC 100-480QD (SN: 13-02844), has reached the end of its useful life and requires replacement. Failure of this unit would increase the risk of equipment downtime, pump failures, sewer backups, and costly emergency repairs. Iowa Pump Works has provided a formal quote for a complete replacement assembly, including the X-Ripper grinder unit. The quote includes the equipment only and does not include freight.
