RESOLUTION NO. 2019-033 A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF TIFFIN, IOWA, CHAPTER 55, ANIMAL PROTECTION AND CONTROL AND CHAPTER 56, DOG AND CAT LICENSES REQUIRED, TO ADDRESS COMMUNITY CATS AND A TRAP-NEUTER-RETURN PROGRAM Whereas, the City Council of the City of Tiffin recognizes the need to address community cats along with a trap-neuter-return program; and, Whereas, the City Council has been working with the Community Cat League on these issues; and, Whereas, the City Council has entered into an agreement with the Community Cat League pending the changes to these two ordinances, Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, that the date for the Public Hearing is set for April 16, 2019, for the consideration of amending Chapter 55 and Chapter 56 of the Municipal Code of Tiffin. On the 2nd day of April, 2019, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Ryan introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2019-033, A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF TIFFIN, IOWA, CHAPTER 55, ANIMAL PROTECTION AND CONTROL AND CHAPTER 56, DOG AND CAT LICENSES REQUIRED, TO ADDRESS COMMUNITY CATS AND A TRAP-NEUTER-RETURN PROGRAM and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Schnedler. Ayes: Schnedler, Ryan, Havens, Bartels Nays: None Absent: Upton Whereupon four Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner declared that the RESOLUTION NO. 2019-033, A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF TIFFIN, IOWA, CHAPTER 55, ANIMAL PROTECTION AND CONTROL AND CHAPTER 56, DOG AND CAT LICENSES REQUIRED, TO ADDRESS COMMUNITY CATS AND A TRAP-NEUTER-RETURN PROGRAM to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
