AGREEMENT FOR STREET CLOSING In consideration of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, agreeing to allow a portion of Third Street to be closed for purposes of a winter party, and for other valuable consideration, it is hereby agreed between the City of Tiffin, Iowa, hereinafter referred to as TIFFIN and Slim’s Saloon, Greg Stevens, and Terry Miller, hereinafter referred to as PERMITEES, as follows: 1. Upon execution of this Agreement and approval of this Agreement by the City Council of Tiffin, Iowa, TIFFIN will allow Third Street to be closed from the west edge of Main Street to the east edge of the alley adjacent to Slim’s Saloon, from ___:00 o’clock ___M. on Saturday, ____________, 2003 until ___: o’clock ___ M. PERMITEES understand and agree to make all necessary arrangements to lawfully and adequately block off the street allowed for under this Agreement and the Resolution approving this Agreement. 2. PERMITEES further agree as follows: A. That PERMITEES will prevent any interference with ingress and egress to any business or public facility. B. That PERMITEES are licensee/permittee pursuant to the Iowa Alcoholic Beverage Control Act, and will conduct themselves and their event in accordance with all laws, rules, and regulations and ordinances and said act. C. That PERMITEE will conduct themselves and their event in accordance with all laws, ordinances, rules and regulations, and this Agreement is not to be considered a waiver of any law, ordinance, rule, or regulations. D. PERMITEE agrees to indemnify, defend, and save harmless TIFFIN together with TIFFIN’S agents, officers, and employees, from any and all claims, lawsuits, damages, losses, and expenses of whatever nature which may result from or arise from the event which is the subject of this Agreement, including the use of public ways, whether or not said claims are frivolous or meritorious.
