A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO CONVERT CITY BUDGET FORMS TO GASB 34 AS MANDATED BY THE STATE OF IOWA WHEREAS, the City of Tiffin is required by the State of Iowa to convert to new accounting forms beginning with at this time WHEREAS, the new budgeting forms will provide for a change from four program funds to nine functional funds and called GASB 34 WHEREAS, the City of Tiffin desires to follow the laws of the State of Iowa NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIFFIN, IOWA, that the mayor and clerk are herby authorized to execute whatever paperwork necessary to effect change to GASB 34 as required by the State of Iowa in new work of the city from this time forward. On the 12th day of March, 2003, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Shaffer introduced A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO CONVERT CITY BUDGET FORMS TO GASB 34 AS MANDATED BY THE STATE OF IOWA, and made a motion for approval. The motion was seconded by Councilperson Bartels. Ayes: Shaffer, Dils, Huedepohl, Bartels and Gericke Nays: None. WHEREUPON, the Mayor declared that the RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO CONVERT CITY BUDGET FORMS TO GASB 34 AS MANDATED BY THE STATE OF IOWA, be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto. PASSED, by the Council on the 12 day of March, 2003 and approved by the mayor on the 12th day of March, 2003. Dated this 12th day of March, 2003 in Tiffin, Iowa. BY: GLEN R.
