CITY OF TIFFIN ORDINANCE NO. 1998-220 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1998-219 (ZONING ORDINANCE) OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF TIFFIN, IOWA REGARDING FIRST FLOOR APARTMENTS IN COMMERCIAL ZONES BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIFFIN, IOWA: Section 1. Purpose: The purpose of this ordinance is to amend City of Tiffin Ordinance No. 1998-219 Section 5.10 and 5.07 regarding first floor apartments in commercial zones. Section 2. Amendment. City of Tiffin Ordinance No. 1998-217, Section 5.10 is hereby amended by adding the following thereunder as Paragraph M: M. First Floor Apartments in Commercial Zones First floor apartments are permitted in commercial zones when the residential dwelling space is separated from the frontage by no less than 20 (twenty) feet of enclosed all-weather structure suitable for commercial uses. Accessways and hallways connecting the first floor apartment to the frontage are permitted. Section 3. Amendment: City of Tiffin Ordinance No. 1998-217 Section 5.07.F.1.r. is hereby deleted. Section 4. Amendment: City of Tiffin Ordinance No. 1998-217 Section 5.07.F.1.(a) is repealed and the following is submitted in lieu thereof: (a) First floor apartments permitted if in compliance with Section 5.10.M. Section 5. Amendment: City of Tiffin Ordinance No. 1998-219 Section 5.07.G.1.(a) is repealed and the following is submitted in lieu thereof: (a) First floor apartments permitted if in compliance with Section 5.10.M.
