Ordinance No. 1990-169 ORDINANCE 1990-169 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1979-81 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF TIFFIN, IOWA BY CHANGING THE USE REGULATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM R-1 (SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO R-3 (MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIFFIN, IOWA: SECTION I. Purpose. The purpose of this Ordinance is to amend the present City of Tiffin Ordinance No. 1979-81 by changing the use classification of the real estate described in Section II from R-1 (single-family residential) to R-3 (multi-family residential). SECTION II. Amendment. The parcel of land hereinafter described shall be zoned as follows: From R-1 (single-family residential) to R-1 (multi-family residential) Commencing at a point on the North Line of the Marengo Road in the Southeast Quarter, Section 28, Township 80 North, Range 7 West of the 5th P.M., at the Southeast corner of the public school grounds in Tiffin, Johnson County, Iowa; thence southeasterly along the north line of the Marengo Road 76.8 feet to the point of beginning; thence continuing southeasterly along the north line of the Marengo Road 83 feet; thence north 135 feet; thence west 89 feet; thence south 135 feet to the place of beginning; subject to a driveway easement over the west 15 feet thereof for the purposes of ingress and egress to Vendor's remaining property. SECTION III. Authorization. The Mayor or other designee of the City Council is hereby authorized and directed to change to Zoning Map of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, which was duly recorded in Book 19, page 53, of the Records of Johnson County, Iowa, to conform to this amendment upon the final passage, approval and publication of the ordinance as required by law. SECTION IV. Certification. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to certify a copy of this Ordinance to the Recorder of Jonson County, Iowa, upon final passage as provided by law.
