ORDINANCE 1988-156 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1979-83 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF TIFFIN, IOWA BY CHANGING THE USE REGULATIONS OF CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM R-2 (DUPLEx) TO C-1 (COMMERCIAL) BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIFFIN, IOWA: SECTION I. Purpose. The purpose of this ordinance is to amend the zoning map of the Zoning Ordinance No. 1979-83 of the Municipal Code of Tiffin, Iowa, by changing the use classification of the real estate described in Section II from R-2 (duplex) to C-1 (commercial) SECTION II. Amendment. The parcel of land hereinafter described shall be zoned as follows: from R-2 (duplex) to C-1 (commercial) Lot 11, Sadler Subdivision, Tiffin, Iowa, according to the recorded plat thereof. SECTION III. Authorization. The Mayor or other designee of the City Council is hereby authorized and directed to change the zoning map of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, which was duly recorded in Book 19, page 53, Records of Johnson County, Iowa, to conform to this amendment, upon the final passage, approval and publication of the ordinance as provided by law. SECTION IV. Certification. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to certify a copy of this ordinance to the Recorder of Johnson County, Iowa, upon final passage, approval and publication as provided by law. SECTION V. Repealer. All ordinances, or parts of ordinances, in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION VI. Severability. If any section, provision or part of this ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the ordinance as a whole, or any section, provision or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.
