ORDINANCE NO. 1983-112 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1979-83 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF TIFFIN, IOWA, BY CHANGING THE USE REGULATIONS OF CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM R-1 SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL TO A2 RESTRICTED AGRICULTURAL USES. BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIFFIN, IOWA: SECTION I. Purpose: The purpose of this ordinance is to amend the zoning map of the zoning ordinance 1979-83 of the Municipal Code of Tiffin, Iowa, by changing the use classification of the real estate described in Section II, from R-1 Single Family Residential to A2 Restricted Agricultural Uses SECTION II. Amendment. The lot hereinafter described shall be zoned as follows: From R-1 Single Family Residential to A2 Restricted Agricultural Uses, the following lot: Commencing at a concrete nail found at the South Quarter corner of Section 28, Township 80 North, Range 7 West of the 5th Principal Meridian; Thence N0°00'00"E, (an assumed bearing) along the West line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 28, 630.45 feet; Thence N87°40'24"E, 433.31 feet, to a point which is 50.00 feet normally distant Northwesterly of the centerline of the Main trackage of the Chicago Rock Island and Pacific Railroad Company, and which point is the Point of Beginning; Thence N2°19'36"W, 100.00 feet, to a point on the Southeasterly line of Railroad Street; Thence N87°40'24"E, 290.00 feet, along said Southeasterly line; Thence S2°19'36"E, 100.00 feet, to a point which is 50.00 feet normally distant Northwesterly of said Railroad centerline; Thence S87°40'24"W., 290.00 feet to the Point of Beginning. Said tract of land contains 0.66 acres, more or less, and is subject to easements, and restrictions of record. SECTION III. Authorization: The mayor or other appointee of the City Council is hereby authorized and directed to change the zoning map of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, which was duly recorded in Book 19, page 53, Records of Johnson County, to conform to this amendment upon final passage, approval, and publication of the ordinance as provided by law. SECTION IV. Certification: The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to certify a copy of this ordinance to the County Recorder of Johnson County, Iowa, upon final passage, approval, and publication as provided by law.
