TOWN OF TIFFIN TIFFIN, IOWA 52340 Minutes of the Regular Council Meeting, August 1, 1973, Town of Tiffin. Mayor Stratton presiding. Present: Bev Birtcher, Ted Spivey, Roger Janssen, Glenn Potter. Absent: Kandy Kobold. Attorney Neuzil present. Minutes of previous meeting read and approved. Glenn Potter to check with Iowa Road Builders on written bid for street work. Complaint received from Harold Vesely and Louis Vorel about weeds behind Brotherton's Paint Shop. Mayor Stratton will call Mr. Brother- ton. Mayor Stratton will call Ralph Brown about weed removal on Stahmer property on Monday, October 6. Glenn Potter brought up complaint concerning Ralph Springmire dumping oil at County Yards which is killing grass and creating a nuisance. Glenn moved a letter be sent to the Johnson County Supervisor. Roger Janssen seconded the motion. Motion carried by roll call vote. Glenn Potter moved to have the first reading of Ordinance No. 68, said ordinance adopting a charter for the City of Tiffin, Iowa, embodying the existing form of government on August 1, 1973. Bev Birtcher seconded the motion. Motion carried by roll call vote. Whereupon the ordinance was given its first reading. The Mayor directed that the second and third readings of this ordinance would be given on the 8th day of August, 1973, 8:00 p.m. Discussion on Sunday liquor permits. Mayor directed Attorney Neuzil to send the new owners of Sadler property a copy of an agreement between Sadler and Town of Tiffin. Roger Janssen moved to accept the following money.
