Present: Glen Potter, Ted Spivey, Bob Svatos, Bill Bream, Wayne Stratton, Bill Verry
Absent: None
The meeting was called to order by Mayor O'Toole. Minutes of the last regular and special meeting were read and approved.
OLD BUSINESS:
Sewer. After discussion, Glen moved, Bill Verry seconded the motion that the agreement between the Town of Tiffin and White-Phillips be accepted providing that they agree to buy revenue bonds in the full amount of the cost of construction at 4 1/2% interest. Unanimously carried. Mr. Thayer was notified at the time of the meeting by telephone. Plans have to be on file when people come in for the hearing; Wayne Reed is working on the alternate plan to have the plant south of the tracks. There is a ten-day period between publication of the hearing notice and the day the hearing is actually held, and during this time anyone can examine the plans. The information to bidders will contain the explanation that pledge orders will be paid during certain periods as each phase of the contract is completed; the contractor takes his pledge orders to White-Phillips and gets cash the same day and the Town furnishes White-Phillips with bonds in the same amount.
T. T. Meade Property. Council has been notified that the estate is still interested in selling to the town and would like one more letter in this regard.
Highway Commission Ordinance. The Ordinance No. 54 restricting access to Highway 6 was passed, since this contains the same provisions as Ordinance No. 51, already in effect. The only difference is that the survey is listed starting from the opposite direction in order to comply with Highway Commission regulations.
Town Sign. It was agreed to investigate the immediate placing of signs at the north and south ends of town, probably outside the city limits, to make motorists aware of traffic hazards such as exist in a populated area.
NEW BUSINESS:
Glen moved, Wayne seconded the motion that the following money be accepted:
$253.00 . . Pauline Spivey, beer & cigarette licenses
1.00 . . Rawleigh salesman. selling permit
90.00 . . Clear Creek School District, 2 months crossing
271.63 . . State Comptroller (street)

Bill moved, Wayne seconded the motion to pay the following bills. Carried. The check to Shive-Hall will be accompanied by a letter explaining that the Council does not feel that the $250 for the map should be included in the payment, since it has never been made accurate and has been and will be of no use in its present state.
