RE: Law Enforcement Needs Study
Mr. Boldt:
Thank you for taking the time to visit with me last week regarding the City of Tiffin's potential interest in conducting a law enforcement needs study.
If the City is interested in retaining my services for this study, I would suggest a process which includes the following:
1. Interview with Council Members and City Administrator to discuss current services and future expectations
2. Interview Sheriff Kunkel regarding his vision and capabilities to meet the Tiffin's expectations and vision
3. Interview citizens and businesses regarding their satisfaction and vision for future law enforcement services
4. Meet with officials from the school districts in Tiffin to discuss their vision for law enforcement integration into the schools
5. Review of 2019 and 2020 calls for services with analytical breakdown
6. Preparation of a final report to include options for future law enforcement services with anticipated costs for each option
The proposed timeline for completion of this study is 60 days from the date of a signed service agreement.
The anticipated costs of this study would begin at $6000 and will not exceed $10,000.
Rest assured, as a customer driven organization, we are flexible and willing to make adjustments to the scope of our work should unforeseen questions or needs arise.
Thank you again for the opportunity to serve you and the Tiffin community and we look forward to speaking with you in the near future.
Best Regards,
Jon Thomas /s/
