AGENDA ITEM # E-7 AGENDA INFORMATION TIFFIN CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION DATE: October 1, 2026 AGENDA ITEM: Approval of Pay Application #13 – Tricon Construction Group – Water Treatment Plan Upgrades ACTION: Motion Background The City of Tiffin contracted with Tricon Construction Group for the Water Treatment Plant Upgrade project, with MSA Professional Services serving as the project engineer. Pay Application No. 13 covers work completed and materials stored during the period of August 22, 2026 through September 24, 2026. The application was dated September 25, 2026. Pay Application No. 13 includes progress on a wide range of work associated with the Water Treatment Plant Upgrade, including building construction, structural work, plumbing, HVAC, electrical and controls, process piping, filtration equipment, chemical systems, utilities, and related site work. The application also includes materials that have been purchased and are either installed or stored for future installation. The stored-material summary identifies approximately $1.05 million in materials associated with the project, with approximately $695,674.81 incorporated into the work and $352,670.11 remaining in storage. Recommendation Staff recommends approval of Pay Application No. 13 in the amount of $813,084.72 to Tricon Construction Group for the Tiffin Water Treatment Plant Upgrade project.
